Windows still has momentum but Microsoft made it clear they lack customer orientation for their OS. Not a new phenomena, just that alternatives get stronger.
I am still using Windows and the platform in general, but privately I moved away from Microsoft software. I doubt they will ever change course, they want to abuse the OS to get people into their cloud environments. I would thoroughly not recommend that.
