No shit. Half of the ad tech I've worked with has used this kind of data, and I've barely scratched the surface.

"Cart Abandonment" is one of the shopping industries hot topics, even though probably half of carts "abandoned" have just been for actually finding out the price (after so much work has been put in to disguise it through fees and shipping costs) and in consumers building the cart on multiple places and multiple tries before making the decision on big purchases. I alone have probably made the same cart ten times on four devices (some of which are intentionally in incognito mode to check for price discrimination) this past week as I plan a major purchase - merely $5000.
